Talofa lava, malo le soifua manuia.  At Weymouth Primary we run Reading Together® workshops for families. Reading Together® is a research based programme for parents, children and teachers. It helps parents to support their children's reading at home more effectively. The programme also supports children's affective and social development, and enhances relationships between children and parents, and parents and teachers. Reading Together® consists of 4 workshops and each workshop is 1 hour [and 15 minutes}.  We will run the workshops in term 2 & 3 every year. We will send letters out prior so parents can sign up. Faafetai tele lava. Whaea Saane.

Our Reading Together® workshops start in Week 5 and I am happy to announce we have 30 parents who want to be a part of this kaupapa. These sessions are about supporting our parents with the tools to help their children be the best readers they can. Mrs Miers and I will be running the sessions and our beautiful Weymouth Angels - Kristina and Miss B will be looking after the children so their parents can attend.
